BREAA is excited to build upon the success of its inaugural Student Fellowship—a one-year program open to current UC Berkeley undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing careers in real estate—with the launch of its 2022 cohort.

The BREAA Student Fellowship is awarded to one graduate and one undergraduate student who demonstrate exemplary academic performance, a commitment to advancing diverse perspectives in real estate, and an unwavering interest in pursuing a career in real estate through business, planning, design, policy, or law.

This immersive program provides motivated students the unique opportunity to build meaningful connections and experiences in the professional real estate community, encourages lifelong learning, and lays the foundation for lifelong BREAA engagement and relationships. The BREAA Student Fellowship components are designed to provide meaningful financial support to students in combination with unparalleled access to a professional network and tools to navigate, and help prepare for, a career in real estate.

  • $3,000 Tuition Award

  • Up to $2,000 in reimbursements for real estate-related educational programming, training, professional development and industry memberships (e.g. ULI or NAIOP memberships, ARGUS training, or Accelerating Careers in Real Estate coursework)

  • Registration to all BREAA events

  • Fellows are assigned an industry professional mentor who will advise and provide guidance regarding professional development, participation in BREAA and the Bay Area commercial real estate community

  • Participation in BREAA leadership meetings as a Student Fellow
