Responsibilities

 

As an Associate with Hines, you will assume project management responsibility for the in-process development of a two large, high-profile mixed use development projects in San Francisco, with further opportunities to assist Hines leadership with the underwriting, financing and asset management of investment grade real estate development and acquisition projects across a variety of Bay Area markets and asset classes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Assume project management responsibility throughout the real estate development process, including but not limited to:

    • Assisting the project management team to effectively coordinate diverse internal and external stakeholders and consultants

    • Developing, monitoring, analyzing and adjusting project schedules and budgets

    • Performing detailed underwriting analysis supporting strategic and tactical project decision making

    • Assisting the project management team in negotiating and managing leases, joint venture documents, loan documents, and other agreements with vendors and partners

    • Developing and communicating project reporting to project partners and investors

  • Perform financial analysis of various real estate investment opportunities

  • Support the implementation of asset management strategies for owned properties

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements include:

  • Recent MBA or Bachelor’s degree and equivalent professional experience

  • Experience in financial analysis and/or real estate underwriting in a ‘live deal’ environment

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Argus knowledge preferred

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong experience working in dynamic, team-based work environments

  • Ability to manage a variety of tasks within a tight time schedule

  • Ability to analyze real estate from a strategic point of view

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to think creatively and contribute to project success

  • Project management experience a plus
