An Evening with the Oakland Athletics
The Oakland A's staff guided BREAA members onto the Coliseum field for an exclusive tour, and answered questions while BREAA members enjoyed watching batting practice. Fun fact: The Oakland Coliseum is the only major league stadium that still shares facilities (with the Raiders) and it costs $250,000 each time to turn the field between baseball and football games!
Lydia Tan, Managing Director of Real Estate for the Oakland A’s walked the attendees through her career path to the A’s, the entitlement process with the new ballpark project, development challenges and business opportunities with the new project and much more.
After the interview with Lydia, the A’s hosted BREAA at a private venue at the Coliseum while the A’s beat the Astros 7-6! Matt Chapman hit his second homerun of the night in the eighth inning to break the tie and secure the win. In fact, it was a Coliseum record for homeruns with 10 from reach team combined. Needless to say, the BREAA crowd enjoyed the excitement, fanfare, and networking throughout the whole evening.
