About the Event
Ari Frankel is a Managing Director and Head of ESG for Solebury Trout. In his role, Ari leads the ESG team, and advises public and private companies andfunds across industries on best practices in ESG governance, strategy, goal-setting, reporting, communications, investor relations, and capital raising andpreservation.
Prior to joining Solebury, Ari led sustainability at Alexandria Real Estate Equities (NYSE: ARE), an S&P 500 REIT, where he initiated and managed ESGprogramming, goal-setting, reporting, and communications. During his tenureat Alexandria, the company issued $1.9 billion in green bonds, achieved “A” disclosure scores and 5-Star Ratings from the Global Real Estate SustainabilityBenchmark, and was named in the top 3 most sustainable REITs by Barron’s.He also served as the sustainability committee chair for NAREIT and on theFitwel Leadership Advisory Board.
Prior to Alexandria, Ari was the Head of ESG Strategy, Real Estate, for DeutscheAsset Management. During this time he served as the North America Co-Chairof United Nations Environment Program Finance Initiative, and worked withinvestment consultants on ESG matters with the Ceres Investor Network onClimate Risk & Sustainability.
Ari played NCAA tennis and received his undergraduate degree in Economicsfrom the University of California, San Diego, and an M.B.A. from the Universityof California, Berkeley. He is a LEED Accredited Professional, a FitwelAmbassador, and a trained Climate Reality Leader.
Dan is Senior Vice President, Sustainability & Utilities for Vornado RealtyTrust, an equity real estate investment trust with over 30 million squarefeet of office and retail properties concentrated in New York, Chicago,and San Francisco. Energy efficiency and energy management are pillarsof Vornado’s sustainability strategy. Dan’s team published Vornado’sVision 2030, which roadmaps the company’s commitment to carbonneutrality, and prioritizes energy efficiency, demand reduction, andproduct innovation. Dan works to curate effective relationships withVornado’s tenants, communicating energy goals with them anddiscovering best practices that can be repeated in tenant spaces. Thiswork is critical to Dan’s charge with planning Vornado’s compliance withthe NYC Climate Mobilization Act.
Dan serves on the board of the Building Energy Exchange, the REBNY Sustainability Committee, and is co-President of the New York EnergyConsumers Council in NYC. He as a member of various working groupsfor climate legislation for both New York City and New York State. He isalso Vice Chair of the Real Estate Roundtable’s Sustainable Policy AdvisoryCommittee.
